Music Magazine Genres
Genre – A music genre is a category which has been suited with a specific target audience.
Niche – Is a small but specific and well defined segment of the population.
Mass – An attempt to appeal to an entire market with one basic marketing strategy utilizing mass distribution and mass media.
Hybrid Genre – This is when two different genres have been merged/combined together to create a different type of music. E.g. Pop & Rock combined together reaching out to a wider target audience of both.

Magazine Distribution
Magazines can be distributed through many different ways such as through the mail, though selling magazines on newsstands, in book stores, through people selling magazines in the streets or through free distribution at known selected pickup locations. Distribution for magazines are broken up into two different categories.
1. Paid circulation - This is when the magazine is sold to readers for a reasonable price either through buying from shops or getting them delivered once being part of a subscription.
2. Non paid circulation - This is when there is no cover price for the magazine and they are given away to the public for free. For example, in street dispensers, available for members of the public to just take.
